Tanzania Honeymoon Packages

There are only a handful of places in this world that can match the honeymoon experience that Tanzania offers. Simply because of the depth & width of experience that Tanzania has to offer to its loyal visitors.

In this post we will explain why a Honeymoon to Tanzania is so popular, what are the experiences that one can look forward to and finally, a rough itinerary of the places that one should certainly visit during their honeymoon safari to Tanzania.

What’s So Special?

There are a few reasons why a honeymoon safari in particular to Tanzania is so popular. Firstly, as mentioned earlier, the breadth of experiences offered is like no other.

You can begin with an exhilarating climb to Kilimanjaro, either the base camp, half-way or the summit. Followed by an adventurous journey with your better half to some of the wildest national park in the world. You can then end the trip with a relaxed stay at the Zanzibar Archipelago to make the most of your beach vacation.

These array of travel options are often more than enough for most newly-weds, not to mention the pampering experience that is offered in each of these instances.

A Typical Itinerary

We’ll list down a few of the places along with our recommended durations along with a skeletal itinerary that is favoured by most tourists. Needless to say, all of these aspects are completely customizable.

The safari experiences in Tanzania is divided among the Northern Circuit – which is home to some of the most well known & commercial landmarks like the Kilimanjaro mountain range, the Serengeti Plains & the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

DAY ONE – The Northern Circuit

Most safari-seeking visitors to Tanzania land at the Kilimanjaro International Airport. Wherefrom they are taken to their hotel in the nearest town which is about a 2 hour drive from the airport. The view on the way is simply awe-inspiring.

You wouldn’t be able to miss the snow-capped mountains of Kilimanjaro even if you wanted to. Given that this will be the very first day,  we will escort you to the your hotel & the next day we will set off to the Kilimanjaro mountain ranges.

We at TheAfricanQuest Offer three variants of accommodation, for your honeymoon stay in Arusha, ,we recommend the premium accommodation since Arusha is home to some of the best hotels in mainland Tanzania.

Around Kilimanjaro also, we offer option to Trek to the basecamp, enjoy a mini-game drive & if you’re really adventurous & prepared, we also arrange for a half trek which will span a day & a half.

TheAfricanQuest Recommendation: Premium Hotel In Arusha, Trek to Basecamp at Kilimanjaro

A trek to the Basecamp is a day’s affair and is a great prelude to the rest of the Honeymoon Safari. If you’re looking for adventure during your honeymoon, we will make adequate camping arrangements along with a game drive at the Kilimanjaro foothills.

DAY TWO

The next day, after a hearty breakfast, we’ll set off for towards the northern circuit safari destinations. Which is about a 4-5 hour drive from Arusha town. The next stop will be Lake Manyara national park that is famous for the tree climbing lions and the infamous nocturnal safari.

The nocturnal game drive spans 3-4 hours and spotting the lion’s green eyes in the dark is a properly chilling experience that couples almost always enjoy.

You will be spending the night at a resort/hotel around Lake Manyara, here we recommend a budget-friendly African themed resort that hosts traditional African dances every night in the backdrop of African themed music being played using traditional instruments.

This overwhelming cultural immersion tends to be a wholesome experience for couples who have just had an exhilarating experience at Lake Manyara
